To all;

Eddie Howell wrote a book about a true story that happened in south Texas in the 1920's, called "Harvest of Redemption". He was able to get it made into a movie, which was finished last year. It has not been released yet, but Eddie went to a film festival in LA last week to show the movie, along with the folks who produced it. It is great to pass on the news that Eddie's film won first place in the Foreign film category. The showing used the Spanish title: Malas Fronteras. The story takes place near the Rio Grande area.

Attached is a copy of a photo taken at the International Family Film Festival. From the left is Joey Partida, who plays the main character, Laura Perez, who is the founder of the studio that made the film..she is also in the movie, Javier Chapa..Producer/Director, Eddie Howell...Writer/Producer, and Dominick Cherili...who plays the best friend of the main character. Also attached is the press release from the festival.

Eddie has put a lot of work into getting the story written, and made into a movie. My congratulations to him.
